Howay to Headway for a taste of our fantastic Northumbrian culture, canny entertainment and our AGM on Thursday 25th May 4-6pm.
Seven Stars will be performing their latest show Forever Young:
Forever Young is a timeless tale for everyone. A faerie story of forbidden love, loss, family and independence inspired by borders folklore via the likes of Romeo & Juliet, Cathy and Heathcliff. Set in Northumberland’s deep dark past Jamie and his heard of cheeky wild goats collide with posh lass Lily in Hap’neywoods. Jamie and Lily fall in love and throw their families into chaos. Join us to find out if the lovers will find a world where they can be themselves. A tragic ghostly love story from Headway Arts’ inclusive theatre company, with masks, puppets, traditional music and wild (really wild) goats.

Headway Arts proudly presents A BLANKET FULL OF STORIES with Releasing Potential
Join us on an adventure through the technicolour world of our imaginations. There is no one way of telling a story. We leave an impact upon everyone we meet in our lives, and so we become part of every story we are told…
This interactive storytelling experience is the culmination of a Releasing Potential training course, our unique award winning arts based training programme funded through the European Social Fund. It showcases the talents of the group who have been developing employability skills through the arts working alongside Headway Arts’ professional company.
We invite you to become part of the story on Wednesday 1st March from 3pm at Headway ArtSpace.
Following the roaring success of last year’s Tall Ships Carnival Parade produced by Headway Arts we are inviting the local community to take part in our Carnival Club.
Those eager to take an active role in re-inviting Blyth Town Carnival this year are welcome to join. No artistic skill is required, the sessions are free of charge and you can attend as often as you like. Everyone is welcome.
Sessions will initially take place on Tuesday each fortnight and cover different Carnival skills, such as creating large-scale sculptures, flags and banners. It’s a great social evening – there’s even tea and cake!
If you’d like to learn exciting new creative skills, adapt your old skills or pass on your artistic knowledge to others please join us every other Tuesday from 10th January, 4.30-6.30pm.
