Midwinter Festival 2020

THURSDAY 17TH DEC 2020

A midwinter sharing of joyful dance, heartwarming stories and a little light in the darkness – streamed live & free online.

2pm Twelve Starry Months
Moving through a year, one season to another, The Seven Stars Dance Co combine solos, dance duets and group pieces to create the story of a year through their eyes. Original inclusive dance cocreated with dance artist Beth Donaldson.

3pm 100 Little Lights of Hope
A workshop by Creative Director Allie Walton-Robson to accompany the 100 paper lantern-making packs which we sent out free to Blyth families. The lanterns will be lit at our 6pm event & then displayed in windows around town.

4pm Story From The Stars – The Greedy King & The Robin
A gentle windchime inspires a new tale about how kindness can help us all to survive the winter. Told by learning disabled artists from The Stars Workshops and co-created with storyteller Gary Cordingley.

6pm A Little Light in the Darkness
A heartwarming evening for all the family. Professional storytelling and seasonal twinkles with Gary Cordingley, Allie Walton-Robson & friends. Wear your Christmas jumper, light your lanterns together at 6pm and snuggle down with a hot chocolate for our cosy little show in your own home.

To take part you can join us live and FREE online via our Facebook or Youtube.
